What is Markdown?
- Markdown is a lightweight coding language that helps you to create plaintext documents similarly to Microsoft Word, but different in the sense that there is code involved.
Why do we use Markdown?
- Markdown can be used for a wide range of different tasks, is portable, can be easily ran on any operating system, is readable even if an application you are using stops working, and is supported by many web-based applications.
What symbol will create a heading in Markdown?
- You use the hashtag/pound symbol.
